1981 porsche 924 restoration.

Having always admired the Porsche 924,i eventualy took the plunge in 2008 and bought one, unfortunately i only got to drive it once, and that was on the day i bought it,my journey home was uneventful, and the car drove very well.
But unbeknown to me , [ it was raining when i bought it ] so didn't inspect the body cos i didn't fancy driving 80mls home soaked. anyway the next day i went out to the shed and started the car to let it warm up,went in and made a coffee, and came back to the shed, only to find the car on fire, due to the fuel pump relay shorting out.
so after putting the fire out,i decided to look for a  rolling shell, which i was lucky enough to find near Cork.
i set about transferring the parts from the burnt car into the newish 1979 shell took about 2 months in my spare time,as the wiring loom was intact in the new shell it made the job a lot easier.

So now to my current project that i was given by a man in Galway for the taking.
porsche 924 , 1981,the body is rust free just a few small dings in the rear quarter panels, that are now sorted, along with 6 coats of 2 pack primer.

the gearbox and torque tube are now removed,as is the rear suspension,i have inspected and cleaned the undercarriage, and sprayed it black, looks good,if i say so myself the weather is a big problem, snow and more snow,it definately wouldn't entice you away from a good fire inside,so it is at a standstill, till the weather improves.
hopefully sooner rather than later.
